Spanky wins the 2003 Tampa Am, while Quiksilvers Dylan
Rieder breaks into the top ten after an 11th place finish last year.
The biggest Amateur contest in the country, the Tampa Am
brings skaters from all over the world to the Skate Park of Tampa. The
skaters who do good in this contest are pretty much guaranteed to make
it as a pro. This years crop was no different than any in the past,
hungry and willing to lay it all on the line for a chance at Super
Stardom. In the finals, both Danny Morrin and Kevin "Spanky" Long had
unbelievable runs, with Kevin coming out on top. Quiksilver team rider
Dylan Rieder came in 8th place, 3 spots better than last yeat.
